On Thursday 4th October, we held our annual Harvest Festival in the church. Mars class sang ‘Big Red Combine Harvester’ with great enthusiasm, Venus class read their wonderful 5 senses Harvest poems, Jupiter told us about the origins and traditions linked to British Harvest whilst Saturn taught us about Harvest around the world.
After the Harvest Festival, we headed back to school for our Farmers’ Market and each of the classes enjoyed selling their crafts. Mars had made beautiful leaf jars, Venus sold their delicious Air Raid Apple Chutney, Saturn cooked up a storm with their vegetable soup and Jupiter’s friendship bracelets were very popular. Thank you so much to the FOSPS for their wonderful refreshments and to the other local businesses who had stalls. Finally, thank you to the children for all their hard work making their produce and also to all of the friends and family who supported our Farmers’ Market - we raised an amazing £246!
