After saying goodbye to our families and boarding the coach, we safely arrived at the Horstead Centre! We went for a walk to Horstead Mill and sat to have our picnic in a grassy area. Next, we had a welcome talk back at the centre and got to see our bedrooms for the first time. In the afternoon, we had our first activity which was either archery, crate-stacking or canoeing. We used teamwork to help each other with equipment and also supported and encouraged each other to keep going! After a lovely dinner of pasta bolognese with garlic bread and apple crumble with custard, we got into teams for a Quiz. Finally, we got ready for bed and enjoyed a hot chocolate with a story before lights out!
