Autumn Term Roundup

I can’t believe that I am writing this as 2020 is just around the corner! There have been so many lovely things happening this past term and I thought it would be a brilliant way to end the year by sharing photos from some of the events.

In October, we enjoyed a day learning about Black History Month linked to our whole school theme of ‘Everyone is Equal’. For the day, we welcomed Irie Steelpan Workshops into our school. The children loved dancing to the music, learning about how the pans are made and even having a go themselves! Throughout the day, all of the children took part in a range of lessons linked to Black History Month to develop their understanding of this important event further.

We have also worked really hard to raise lots of money for different charities this term. The School Council worked hard to raise money for Children in Need, the Junior Road Safety Officers raised awareness of road safety and money for Brake and our Christmas Fair run by the FOSPS was attended very well. Thank you for all of your support and generosity throughout the term.

Mars and Venus class gave two amazing performances of ‘Lights, Camel, Action – The Sequin!’ for their nativity this year. The songs, dances and acting were all brilliant and we are so proud of all of the children. Thank you to all the staff for their hard work and also parents for their support too. Carrying on with the run up to Christmas, we enjoyed a delicious Christmas lunch cooked by Mrs Snelling and a fun party lunch organised by the FOSPS (complete with a trip from Father Christmas). The whole school enjoyed coming together for our Christingle service, working together to make the Christingles in the morning before sharing the story of the Christingle and singing beautiful Christmas songs for the service in the afternoon.

The final cherry on the cake was our whole school trip to the pantomime at Norwich Theatre Royal which was Cinderella this year. The children represented the school beautifully and everyone had so much fun.

We would like to thank you all for your continued support and wish you all the best for a wonderful 2020!
